Kool Kats of Calcutta

The cats struggled to sleep last night
They screeched and screamed
Squirmed and dreamed
Of cool desperation
In catatonic inspiration
Of the raj and once high living
Raucous purring and midnight singing
Christmas had never been the same after all
As nights in Calcutta struggled to sleep
While those kool cats had their regular ball.

With lots of love to insomniac cats of Calcutta  [:)]
