An Evening

this is an evening of hurts in a
collage of elusive colours on a body
stained with a distant dark.
i had called your name yesterday as the moon
rode the dark
eyes hiding an untamed talk
only the skin cut through another moment.
many years back we had
searched together
the ravines and the river in our
village
and a bandit desert in a
runningsky.
many years back we had looked through the distance in a
pale twilight and the sand that lay behind it.
this is yet another evening when
i close my eyes
imprisoning an
arching night.
